Project Details
The MRT Line 6 extension project in Dhaka is a major initiative designed to significantly improve the city's metro rail infrastructure. This project will introduce five new metro stations along an approximately 8-kilometer stretch from Uttara North to Tongi Railway Station. The new stations will be strategically located at Diabari Bazar, the east and west sides of Sonargaon Township Road, Tongi Bazar, and Tongi Rail Station. This expansion aims to serve an additional 500,000 passengers daily, thereby enhancing the overall capacity and efficiency of Dhaka’s public transportation system.
